On Saturday 1st August a ‘triple celebration’ took place at Bay Brasserie restaurant as Eddie & Barbara Pratt celebrated their Ruby Wedding Anniversary; and their grandchildren Michaela and Shannon Browse celebrated their 18th & 11th Birthdays.  

Mr & Mrs Pratt, who met whilst sharing the same driving instructor some 40 years ago, have fought the soaring divorce trend and believe the key to their successful marriage is down to a bit of “give & take.”

The partygoers had booked a ‘Buffet, Bar & Boogie’ package and danced the night away with their own private disco.  Some evening sun even crept out for the occasion allowing family and friends to make full use of the terrace and take in views across the seafront.  

True, it’s not a great time for many in the Bay what with the Economy and yet another wet Summer, but this celebration can be seen as a source of encouragement to all to hold such gatherings to lift sprits and fight the ever-persistent ‘doom and gloom.’
