Kids challenged to swim more this summer

03.07.09

Pictured are Tommy and Ella James getting ready for this summers’ swim challenge.

The challenge has been laid down by Torquay’s Riviera International Centre’s Waves Leisure Pool which is asking youngsters if they are up for the challenge of enjoying its pool this summer with the chance to earn award certificates.

The challenge runs until August 31 and rewards those aged five to 15 who swim regularly.

Front of House Manager, Rachel Perry, explained: “Swimming is great fun for children and we want to play our part in encouraging youngsters to enjoy themselves in the water. As such we’ve laid down a challenge for kids – they pay for four swims and receive the fifth one free - and they will also receive a certificate so they have a record of their achievements.”

Further details on the offer and rewards can be obtained from RIC main reception.
