Devon Life attended Torquay's Riviera International Centre a fabulous Showcase Dinner when 300 of Torbay's movers and shakers were invited to a special evening of food and fun.

Barry Cole, Managing Director explained that he thought it was high time he had a few friends round to show what The Riviera International Conference Centre could do and somehow it grew to 300 guests!

THe evening also raised money for the South Devon Charitable Trust and students and many other members of the community rallied around to make this an unforgettable evening.  The entertainment was outstanding with the compere Jay Fortune introducing act after act.  First up was Lee Shetliffe on Grand Piano, then Jen Allen the world's only artistic speed painter.  Guests were awestruck as beautiful Jen created brushstrokes to music ending up in record time with amazing portraits, one of Charlie Chaplin and then one of Marilyn Munroe.

Later Paul Eastwood, after dinner comedian, had the party rolling with laughter, Damien James, Vocalist, sang in the style of Tom Jones, Neil Diamond and others.

Phil Blackmore who was a finalist on Britain's Got Talent came on and scared me rigid with his juggling of 3 working chainsaws!

Debbie Farrell then appeared with her sensational Shirley Bassey tribute and finally a 5 piece band Flyin Hi and a Ministry of Als Disco.

All talent was arranged by Anne George of Trevor George Entertainments.
