We’ve waited long enough for summer…but now it’s here it appears many of us are already turning our thoughts to Christmas!!!!

This is particularly the case at the Riviera International Centre at Torquay where many of the key dates around Christmas are already booked for parties and festive meals.

Staff at the Centre have been planning Christmas events for several months but it appears the public and local companies are keen to ensure they don’t miss out on the festive fun by booking their party dates well in advance.

Operations manager Jenny Thompson said: “Christmas is always a very busy time for every department here at the Centre, but it has surprised us that so many companies and individuals have been phoning to book their festive parties and luncheons so early…especially as we are all enjoying our long awaited summer.

“It is the first time ever that by August most of our key dates for Christmas have been booked up and we are being forced to advise everyone to think about Christmas while they’re soaking up the sun and book early for their parties if they don’t want to be disappointed.”

This year staff will be hosting parties and luncheons for companies large and small across the bay as well as for many private parties in the Centre’s many function rooms as well as the popular Bay Brasserie.

The Centre is also planning its usual party bash for New Year’s Eve when up to 80 people will enjoy a gourmet dinner to remember in the Bay Brasserie.
