Do you struggle trying to balance your diet with work and training? Or are you lacking in energy before your big race?
Help with food nutrition is now at hand from Ann Ashworth, The Food Coach, who is offering a new service through the Lifestyle Health and Fitness Suite at the Riviera International Centre.
Ann, a registered dietitian and sports and exercise nutritionist, will work with Lifestyle members improving their diet and changing their eating behaviour and habits.
She explained: "I have a special interest in sports and exercise nutrition and will be working with people using the gym, helping them achieve their goals. Food is an integral part of performance and if people don't have the right nutrition, they won’t perform to the best of their ability."
Work with members will include encouraging them to keep a food diary and analysing this before creating a personalised report and action plan to achieve goals, giving advice and recommendations along the way. Any exercise regime will also be monitored in conjunction with the Lifestyle trainers.
Ann, who has more than 20 years experience in the NHS and is a keen sportswoman herself, especially sailing and triathlon, with experience of advising other sports such as diving and boxing, added: "Some people may want to lose body fat or to build up adequate energy stores before a big race or people may want advice about supplements. Without a good diet, people won’t be able to achieve their goals."
Anyone interested can contact Ann for an initial free consultation on 0772 981 0765.
