Life’s always been in the fast and exciting lane for Simon Jolly and it’s likely to continue so with his latest appointment.
For Simon has taken over the hot seat as conference and events manager at the Riviera International Conference Centre at Torquay and will be responsible with his team for organising numerous events throughout the year.
Simon, who has lived in Torbay for over 30 years, has worked for the Riviera International Conference Centre (RICC) since 1991 but took a year out in 2005 to travel around the world during which time he became engaged in New Zealand and was married in Las Vegas.
He returned to Torquay and the RICC in October 2006 to become project manager and has now taken over as conference and events manager, succeeding Chrissy Farley.
Simon started at the RICC as a lifeguard and moved over to the Lifestyle Health and Fitness Club in 1993. He was promoted lifestyle assistant manager in 1995 and became reception manager 2000.
Simon said: “It is a very challenging position but one which I am going to thoroughly enjoy. I am lucky enough to have a very strong professional team and look forward to welcoming more and more conference organisers to the Riviera International Conference Centre for their events.” |
