Community nurses in South Devon have been back to school this week….learning about the latest treatments and cures for a variety of ailments.

The nurses had been invited to take part in a series of educational workshops organised by the Journal of Community Nursing which held a one-day conference and exhibition at Torquay’s Riviera International Conference Centre.

Alan Byrne and Martin White from the Journal of Community Nursing organise a total of 16 similar seminars around the country and were delighted with the response to the South Devon event.

The educational workshops covered the management of elderly skin, management of Chronic Oedema, essential wound and bowel management and they  were supported by exhibitions and speakers from medical suppliers.
