Ladies Who Lunch….a lovely name for a lovely group of ladies who work extremely hard during the busy holiday season and who enjoy themselves socially during the quieter winter months.

The ladies are mainly hoteliers and guest house proprietors throughout Torbay and South Devon who normally do not get a chance to touch base with each other during the busy summer and holiday season. But when life becomes a little easier between September and May the ladies meet for a monthly luncheon and social and once a year organise a more formal dinner for their husbands to join them.

Initially there were just a handful of members but now over 80 have joined the  ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ group and many of them attended this year’s dinner which was staged at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.

Chairman Toni Maddison explained: “We had a wonderful evening and are so grateful to the Riviera Centre staff for making the event so special. The dinner was our last big social event before we all launch into what we are confident will be a very successful summer season.”
