30.11.06 - Christmas Sponsorship

Christmas has arrived early at Torquay’s Riviera International Conference Centre where staff in the Waves Leisure Pool and Lifestyle Health and Fitness Suite have been ‘showered’ with sponsorship gifts.

Robin Hart, owner of Spa Life which specialises in spas and hot tubs has agreed once again to sponsor Waves Leisure Pool’s swimming instructors while Adam and Luke Carswell of The Runners Guide  have agreed to continue their sponsorship of Lifestyle Health & Fitness Suite along with long standing supporter and sponsor Steve Latham of LathamVauxhall.

According to the Centre’s marketing manager Jenny Thompson, the sponsorship deals play an important part as it ensures members and guests receive the very best professional information and advice from the experts.

Robin, who is an ex employee of the Riviera International Centre, is sponsoring Waves for the fifth successful year. His company, which specialises in spas and hot tubs for private homes and gardens is based in Torquay and will be opening a new branch in Plymouth in the New Year.

Robin explained: “We are delighted to be putting our name in front of parents who want their children to grow up unafraid of the water and we hope they will become spa and hot tub users in the future.”

Waves and Leisure Pool manager Tanya Brimicombe said:“We are delighted
Robin has remained a good friend of Waves and that with his help our swim teachers can look the professionals they are.”

Meanwhile Adam and Luke Carswell’s Christmas gift was that they are continuing their sponsorship of the Lifestyle Health & Fitness Suite by providing the male instructors uniforms and trainers for both men and women instructors. The ladies uniforms are being provided by Steve Latham of Latham Vauxhall who has been a long standing loyal member of Lifestyle.

Adam and Luke’s company, The Runners Guide, offers professional advice and supplies shoes, clothing and accessories for people who run and keep fit.

The brothers are both members of Lifestyle and having impressed manager Colin Pemberton with their collection of specialist shoes, Colin agreed they could provide trainers for the 12 male and female instructors. This year, the brothers have also sponsored the men’s uniforms.

Adam explained: “Sadly, not everyone appreciates the importance of wearing the correct footwear for training. It is vital because wearing the correct shoes or trainers will help prevent injury and assist in creating a more natural running style.

“We have measured and assessed the instructors feet to provide them with the correct footwear and we are once again confident they will appreciate the benefits and recommend our services to all Lifestyle members.”
