Have you started to think about Christmas yet as you soak up the sun and sip those summer cocktails?

Probably not, but the festive season is very much on the minds of staff at the Riviera International Centre at Torquay where bookings for this year’s Christmas parties are coming in at a scorching rate.
In fact, there have been so many bookings from local businesses, groups and individuals that Sales Co-ordinator Laura Arnold has added two more dates to meet the demand.

Laura explained: “We appreciate most businesses want to celebrate Christmas but are unable to do so in December as they are so busy…...especially those involved in the hospitality and leisure industry. We have had so many enquiries about later dates that we are introducing two more dinner and disco party nights that will extend our Christmas festivities right through until Saturday January 6th 2007.

“I am amazed at the number of enquiries coming in and also the size of some of the parties which range from 4 up to 400. We were always aware that the premium dates would go very, very quickly and with so many bookings coming in, it appears that local businesses have realised that if they don’t get in early, they will miss out on the best dates.”
