04.07.06 - Independence Day

Torquay’s Bay Brasserie is going American….with big steaks, big doughnuts and plenty of Bourbon.

But don’t worry the American touch is only temporary to celebrate America’s Independence Day this Tuesday.

In the United States, Independence Day, which is also affectionately referred to as the Fourth of July, celebrates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1778, declaring its freedom.

To celebrate Independence Day and the Bay Brasserie has organised a special USA themed menu with a choice of starter, main course and dessert for just £21 a person, including a bottle of wine per couple. Brasserie Manager Jenny Thompson explained “The menu was a challenge as we wanted to go beyond burgers and fries that America is so often associated with. Therefore, we have omitted burgers in favour of some real wholesome dishes such as Boston seafood chowder, Atlantic salmon and roasted organic Chicken”.

She added “We are really looking forward to it, our theme nights are a bit of fun and we have arranged costumes for the staff, American music and decorations!”
So round up your friends and head for the Bay Brasserie. The evening will start at 6.30pm and if you are keen enough to come along in American attire, there’ll be a discount of £1.
