Keeping
fit and healthy and looking good is the aim of most people and for
two Torquay women, life couldn’t be better after shedding five
and a half stone between them!
Maxine Harrison and Lynn Cavanna are now much happier, more confident
and a lot more active in their day to day lives.
The two ladies – who have also dropped three dress sizes - have
achieved the impossible thanks to their own determination and a personal
training programme organised by Torquay’s Riviera International
Centre’s Lifestyle health and fitness suite.
“Obviously our body shapes have changed but we are much happier,
in fact we are on top of the world,” explained Maxine who lost
three stone and Lynn who lost two and a half stone. “Our cardio
vascular, strength and endurance have all improved and we are eating
a lot more healthily.”
Maxine has been training at Lifestyle for one and a half years and
Lynn for 10 months. The two ladies are early morning risers so happily
go to the gym first thing to work out their training programme which
was put together by instructor Danielle Coak.
In addition, they also take part in aerobics and attend an ‘active
conditioning class’ once a week and help to burn up the calories
on the Lifestyle Cardio Cycling bikes.
“They are both great fun and motivational” the ladies explained.
But it’s not only exercising that ensures a trim body…it’s
also healthy eating. Danielle has created a healthy diet for each of
the ladies that includes a lot of fruit and vegetables and plenty of
water…..but sadly no biscuits or chocolates!
Danielle explained: “We can only praise and applaud Maxine and
Lynn for their hard work and determination. They are excellent ambassadors
for the Lifestyle Health and Fitness Suite and clearly highlight the
fact that its superb facilities can be enjoyed by everyone. It’s
a comfortable environment for all shapes, sizes and abilities to work
in,” she said.
