Yummy
yummy….for Devon’s clotted cream and scones. What else
could be so inviting on a sunny day in the beautiful English Riviera?
The Riviera International Centre at Torquay was amongst the many organisations
and companies in the county which took part in the ‘Do It For
Devon’ promotion which was organised to help the Devon Community
Foundation.
Managing director Barry Cole agreed that for four days £1 would
be donated from every cream tea sold in the Centre’s Bay Brasserie
to support the foundation. It was Devon’s biggest cream tea party.
The scones and cream did however prove a little too tempting for the
senior management at the Centre who simply could resist the opportunity
to tuck in. Our photograph shows Barry, left, along with head chef Horace
Ham and Bay Brasserie manager Ben Ferrer helping themselves to the Devon
delight. |
