Fitness
enthusiasts at Torquay’s Riviera International Centre
Lifestyle Club are planning to take part in a sponsored ‘Rowathon’ to
France and back in aid of the Tsunami Appeal.
But
the four men won’t literally be rowing across the English Channel….they’ll
be battling away on a rowing machine in the main reception area at the
Centre.
Lifestyle
fitness instructors Fletcher Larkin and Neil Aggett along with Lifestyle
members Mark Le Breton and Ryan Bell will take it in turns to row continuously
for about eight hours aiming to cover the 80 miles.
And
the only waves they expect will be from the general public
who they hope will come along to the Centre to support them and give
them a boost.
The
rowers have already been promised over £100 in sponsorship but they
are hoping that on the day of the big marathon - Saturday January
22nd - people will give generously and swell the funds for the appeal.
