A new glamorous social occasion is set to be launched by Miss Torbay this May to give the bay a really good night out but for a very good cause close to her heart. Rachael Brown the current Miss Torbay has decided to organise a ball on May 9th to help raise money for causes that are particularly close to her heart. One of Rachael’s closest friend’s Emily Gleghorn sadly passed away due to a brain tumour when they were both 11 year’s old, and Rachael has decided to hold a ball as a tribute to Emily.
Rachael commented: ‘ I have had a brilliant year as Miss Torbay but really wanted to give something back and thought this was the best way of doing something for a cause that is really important to me. I wanted to create a truly special night out, that is both affordable to people who might not be able to go to some of the other posh events, but also to raise some funds to help others like Emily.’ |
