Retirement Roadshow Comes to Torquay

Retirement Roadshow Comes to Torquay

Published - 26th Nov

A scintillating fun fashion show with modern music was held last Sunday by Asda staff in the Riviera International Centre at a free Retirement Roadshow hosted by the National Careline.

Visitors also enjoyed fabulous entertainment by Ariel Raqs Bay Belly dancers and The Bay Flappers.

The Torquay Retirement Roadshow was opened by Councillor Julien Parrott who kindly spent several hours at the event meeting exhibitors. He went on to say the show was a remarkable success and provides a much needed information resource for the local community.

Around forty five local exhibitors attended the event providing essential free information for retired people and those planning for life after work. Stands included local government and NHS departments, charities such as Age UK and Tickled Pink (sponsored by Asda) together with Macmillan Cancer (supported by Boots Stores). Other exhibitors included Sky, Lincombe Manor Retirement Village, Optical Express, Sanctuary home care, Almy & Thomas Solicitors, Peplows Accountants, Alan Kerr Leisure, Hyundai Motability and AMF Bowling to name but a few.

A full list of exhibitors can be seen at: and numerous photos will be posted on the website in the near future.
